How Many Days Do You Have Left?

I am going to speak of a subject most if not all of us do not like to think or talk about.  The number of days you have left to live.  Stay with me now.....  Psalm 90:10 says, "The days of our lives are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty."  I am hoping, probably like you, I have those by "reason of strength they are eighty."

I did something interesting today.  I figured out how many days have gone by in my life and how much I have left if I live to be seventy or perhaps eighty.  I am currently sixty years old.  I have used up 21,914 days of my life and if I live to be seventy I have 3652 days left!  Not much time!  If I live to be eighty I have 7304.8 days left.  Go ahead and calculate yours....don't be afraid.  Just multiply 365.24 days in a year times the seventy or eighty years and deduct the amount of days in a year times the years you have lived. It is a wake up call, I want to tell you!  Verse 12 of Psalm 90 says, "So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom."  In other words, we need to really look at each day and understand they are passing by and I need to gain a heart of wisdom to make them count and to grow in the Lord.  One day I will stand before the Lord, just like you and give account for each day.  I am so happy to have received Christ into my life and know I have eternal life.  My counting since coming to Christ has been about knowing Him more and becoming more like Him so when I do stand before Jesus it will not be in fear but in love.  How about you?  What are you doing with your time?  Are you pretending your day will not come...that day of reckoning when death will come for you.  You cannot hide from it.  Only Christ can ultimately save you from that final hour and take you into His home, but you must be His.  Don't waste another moment of your life.  Seek the Lord while he may be found, while He is speaking to you about dealing with the totality of death.  Do not be afraid for He is with you if Christ is indeed yours.  Relinquish your life to Him then forgive all of those whom you are holding resentments agains.  Let them off the hook.  The clock is ticking, tick tock, tick tock.
